RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Caldwell College men's basketball team earned a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory at Felician College, 94-85 Thursday evening at Job Gymnasium. The victory gives the Cougars a 13-7 record on the season, including a 9-4 mark in league play. The Golden Falcons fall to 4-16, 2-11 CACC.

Billy McDonald (North Haven, CT/North Haven) sparked a 12-2 run that put the Cougars on top, 30-24 with under six minutes left in the half. Felician came back to tie the game, but a three from sophomore guard

Michael Balkovic (Neptune, NJ/St. John Vianney) sent Caldwell into the break with a 41-38 lead.
The Golden Falcons came within one point twice, including 62-61 with 11:36 to play following a basket by Anthony Obery. But eight points from Polk helped Caldwell reel off a 15-2 run that pushed the lead up to 12, 76-64 with 5:41 remaining. Felician was able to cut the deficit to six, only to have the Cougars hit 12-of-13 from the charity stripe over the final 2:33 to put the game out of reach. The win earned a season sweep of the Golden Falcons for Caldwell, which defeated Felician, 91-77 on Nov. 20.
The Cougars made 36-of-40 (90.0 percent) from the free throw line for the game compared to 12-of-18 for the Golden Falcons, and shot 51.0 percent from the field. Junior guard
Kevin Walker (Bayonne, NJ/St. Peter's Prep) was a perfect 13-of-13 from the line en route to a game-high 23 points. Balkovic contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Polk finished with 19 points. Sophomore forward
Terik Bridgeman (Harlem, NY/Nia Prep) tallied four blocks to go with 10 points, while sophomore guard
Brian Kenny (Howell, NJ/Jackson Memorial) dished out five assists. Jamal Reid led Felician with 21 points and six assists.
Next up for Caldwell is another CACC road game against Holy Family University on Saturday, Feb. 8, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
