CALDWELL, N.J. -- Recent Caldwell University men's basketball standouts Melvin Evans (Bronx, N.Y.), DeAngelo Horn (Detroit) and Mark Heber (Paterson, N.J.) have signed contracts to play professionally overseas. Evans and Horn were senior All-CACC performers on last year's squad, while Heber starred at CU before graduating in 2025.

Evans, a 6'4 guard, will play for Klubi Basketbollit Skenderbeu Korce in Albania, while Horn, a 6'6" forward, will compete for BK Inter Bratislava in Slovakia. Heber just completed his season at Europe Basket in Serbia.

Evans '26, a sport management major, earned All-CACC First Team honor after finishing fifth in the circuit in scoring, (16.6 ppg) fourth in assists (4.2 apg), third in steals (2.0 spg) and sixth in minutes (32.6 mpg). The First Team All-Met performer scored 1131 points in his four-year Cougars career and was the CACC Student-Athlete of the Month for February 2026.

Horn, a criminal justice major, was a two-time Second Team All-CACC selection. He ranked sixth in CACC in scoring in conference games, seventh in FG% (52.8%) and fourth in FT% (84.1%). Horn scored a combined 1498 points in his collegiate career (831 in JC, 667 at CU).

Heber scored 1245 points as a Cougar from 2021-2025, connecting on 175 three pointers, third best in school history, while connecting on 87% of his free throws (234 of 269), best ever at CU. He earned All-CACC Third Team honor sin 2022-23 and started 101 games in his career.

The Cougars finished 2025-26 at 15-15, 12-8 in CACC play and advanced to the CACC Tournament semifinals.
