NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Freshman forward
Terence Thompson (Rochester, N.Y.) has been named Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, the league announced today.
Thompson recorded his third double-double of the season with 11 points, game-high 12 rebounds in Caldwell's 69-66 win at Holy Family on Saturday. Thompson had three blocks, including a huge late swat of a dunk attempt with the score tied that started a fast break on the other end and put CU up to stay
Thompson currently ranks fourth in the CACC in rebounding (8.2) and second in blocks (1.9).
Additionally, senior forward
DeAngelo Horn (Detroit) was named to the weekly honor roll, scoring a game-high 18 points, including three key baskets in a late two-minute span that pushed CU to the win. Horn had 17 of his points in the second half to key the' comeback.
The Cougars visit Bridgeport on Tuesday in a CACC contest beginning at 3 p.m.
