Paige Sandoval (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Tournament Team after standout performances during the Cougars' run in the conference tournament.
Mischer batted .312 in five tournament games with four runs scored, three doubles, one homerun and three RBI. She went 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in a win over University of the Sciences and added a two-run homerun in the Cougars 6-3 loss to Wilmington University in their final game of the tournament.
Rodriguez batted .643 during the tournament with two runs scored, one triple, one homerun and six RBI, hitting safely in all five games. She went 3-for-3 in the first Wilmington game with a triple and one RBI. Rodriguez hit a solo homerun against Holy Family University and went 2-for-2 with two RBI against USciences.
Sandoval posted a .500 batting average with a 1.214 slugging percentage. She finished the tournament with five runs scored, eight RBI, one double and three homeruns. Sandoval connected on solo homeruns in the first Wilmington contest and against Holy Family. She went 2-for-3 against USciences with a grand slam homerun and drove in five runs in the win.
The Cougars season continues as they were selected to the NCAA Division II Championship as the #4 seed in the East Region. Caldwell faces #5 seed Saint Anselm College in the opening round on Thursday, May 12 at 2:30 pm on the campus of top seed Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y.
