CACC Announces Changes to its Upcoming Baseball, Softball, MLAX & WLAX Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 30, 2021) -- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced changes on Friday for its upcoming 2021 CACC Baseball, Softball, Men's Lacrosse and Women's Lacrosse Championships.

It was announced earlier this week that the baseball, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse championships had been modified to allow all remaining teams who are still competing this season into their respective post-season tournaments. All three championships received slight modifications on Friday based on more schools electing to end their regular seasons early. Friday's announcement of the softball championship finds all 13 remaining schools still competing in the sport now qualifying for the post-season tournament.

The modifications to the the four CACC Championships are listed below.

2021 CACC MEN'S LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP (May 4-8)

The men's lacrosse tournament will now feature the six remaining teams in the 2021 season competing in the post-season tournament. The conference schedule will not be completed in its entirety this spring, thus qualifying all teams for the tournament. The six remaining schools that are competing include Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican College, Georgian Court University, Post University and Wilmington University.

2021 CACC WOMEN'S LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP (May 5-9)

The women's lacrosse tournament will now feature the six remaining teams in the 2021 season. The conference schedule will not be completed in its entirety this spring, thus qualifying all remaining teams for the tournament. The six remaining teams who are still competing include Caldwell University, Georgian Court University, Holy Family University, Thomas Jefferson University, Post University and Wilmington University.

The remaining 13 schools still competing include Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Concordia College, Dominican College, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Thomas Jefferson University, Nyack College, Post University, University of the Sciences and Wilmington University.

The baseball tournament will now feature all 10 remaining teams competing during the 2021 season. The conference schedule will not be completed in its entirety this spring, thus qualifying all remaining teams for the tournament. The 10 remaining teams include Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican College, Felician University, Goldey-Beacom College, Thomas Jefferson University, Post University, University of the Sciences and Wilmington University.
