NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Caldwell University men's basketball junior
Anthony Cooper (Ashburn, Va.) was selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for a second time this season after leading the Cougars to a win last week. Freshman
Jarnel Rancy (Middle Island, N.Y.) also earned weekly honors as he was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Cooper erupted for a career-high 31 points in an 80-76 win over Felician University last Tuesday. Cooper added six rebounds and three assists in the win. He shot 12-for-19 from the field (63.2%), 2-for-4 from downtown and connected on 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
Rancy was a defensive presence in Caldwell's win last Tuesday as he tallied two blocks and two steals. He grabbed eight rebounds in the game, six on the defensive side, and scored 10 points.
