Free Admission for First 100 Caldwell University Students at Tuesday's CACC Basketball Championship Quarterfinals

Men Host Post at 5:30; Women take on Post at 7:30

CALDWELL, N.J. -- Caldwell University's men's and women's basketball teams have both earned home games in the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) Basketball Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday at the George R. Newman Center. And when the men's team, seeded #4, takes on fifth-seeded Post University at 5:30 p.m., followed by the third-seeded Caldwell women vs. #6 Post at 7:30, the first 100 Caldwell University students will be admitted FREE to the doubleheader.

The Caldwell men (14-14 overall, 12-8 CACC), won nine of their last 10 home games and 14 of their last 20 overall to gain a CACC Tournament quarterfinal game for the first time since 2023, when they won three games to claim the CACC Championship. Senior guard Melvin Evans (Bronx, N.Y.) (16.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 4.1 apg), senior forward DeAngelo Horn (Detroit) (15.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and junior guard Todd Rochelle (Laurelton, N.Y.) (10.7 ppg, 4.0 apg, 4.1 rpg) pace the Cougars attack. Freshman forward Terence Thompson (Rochester, N.Y.) is among the league leaders in rebounding (7.4) and blocks (46).

The Cougars women (20-8 overall, 13-7 CACC) are hosting the QF for the second straight season after winning the program's most games since 2017-18. Senior forward Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) (17.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg), junior guard Jah'Nel Lewis (16.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg), Neysa Aguilar (11.5 ppg) and Brooke Corbett (5.0 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 79 steals) have been the top performers all season.

Quarterfinal winners across the league will compete in the Semifinals and Finals on Saturday and Sunday at the Newman Center. All games can be seen live on the CACC Network.
