CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University sprint football junior Nysir Smith (Newark, N.J.) was named the Collegiate Sprint Football League special teams Player of the Week after shining in Caldwell's 43-0 win over Alderson Broaddus University this past weekend.
 
Smith took the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown to set the early tone in Caldwell's road win at Alderson Broaddus. He also grabbed a 75-yard touchdown pass and finished with 159 all-purpose yards.
 
The Cougars return to action on Saturday, October 5 as they host the United States Naval Academy at 7 pm at James Caldwell High School.
