Petgrave, Alberti, Ciccotelli, Lopez III Named to CSFL All-Conference Team

Six More Earn Honorable Mention for 4-4 Cougars

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Senior wide receiver Arjun Petgrave (Cranford, N.J.), senior offensive lineman Joseph Alberti (Nutley, N.J.), freshman wide receiver Joey Ciccotelli (Denville, N.J.) and freshman linebacker Hector Lopez III (East Hanover, N.J.) were named to the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) All-Conference Team, the league announced today.

Petgrave was selected to the First Team, while Alberti, Ciccotelli and Lopez earned Second-Team Honors.

Additionally, six Cougars gained Honorable Mention, including: Petgrave, also an All-CSFL First Team selection last year, set numerous school receiving records in 2025. His 80 career catches for 1085 yards and 11 touchdowns are all No. 1 all time, as are his 46 catches and six touchdowns this season, including a school best 10 vs. Navy on Nov. 7.

Alberti, a stalwart on the offensive line for four seasons, anchoring at center, is a two-sport athlete who also competes on the lacrosse team. The team captain is a two-time CSFL All-Academic selection in 2023 and 2024 and played in 26 games in his career.

Ciccotelli made a huge impact as the Cougars' possession receiver, hauling in 36 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns, all school freshman records. He earned CSFL Rookie of the Week on Oct. 12 after returning a punt 79 yards for a touchdown and catching three passes vs. STAC.

Lopez ranked second on the Cougars in tackles with 54, including 39 solo and 55 for loss. He also recorded a forced fumble and fumble recovery, and was selected as CSFL Rookie of the Week on Oct. 18 after making six stops, including two sacks, at Molloy, and the league's Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3 for his 14-tackle performance vs. Cornell.

Caldwell finished its ninth season of CSFL competition in 2025 at 4-4.

CSFL Sprint Football is a full-contact, intercollegiate, varsity sport and has the same rules as regular college football, except that all players must weigh 178.0 pounds or less. The league has been in existence since prior to World War II. There are currently nine teams playing in the CSFL: Army West Point, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Cornell University, Mansfield University, Molloy University, the U.S. Naval Academy, the University of Pennsylvania and St. Thomas Aquinas College, with D'Youville University scheduled to join for the 2026 season.
