WEST CALDWELL, N.J. -- Junior QB Josh Smith (Parsippany, N.J.) passed for 96 yards and ran for 90 more as Caldwell University sprint football dropped a 42-0 decision to Navy in CSFL South action at Bonnel Field on Saturday evening.

Senior WR Emanuel Laluz (Lyndhurst, N.J.) matched his career high with five catches, also set against Navy last year, gaining 59 yards.

Sophomore LB Hector Lopez (East Hanover, N.J.) led the way defensively for the Cougars with 13 tackles (six solo), while freshman LB Christian Brewton (Dumont, N.J.) added seven.

The Cougars' best drive came late in the first quarter, when they took over at their own 25 and drove inside the Navy five yard line before turning the ball over on downs.

Navy (3-1, 2-0 CACC South) was paced by Hunter Gennicks, who rushed for 146 yards, and Luke O'Connor, who passed for 106 and ran for 34.
