CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University men's tennis team senior
Maximilian Ziegler (Erfurt, Germany) earned the win at #1 singles in his final match for the Cougars. Caldwell edged Bloomfield College 5-4 in a non-conference match in the Cougars' final match of the season.
The Cougars end their season at 4-7, while the Bears wrap up their season at 0-9.
Ziegler, playing in his final match for Caldwell, swept his way to a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles. He teamed with freshman
Lukas Lemke (Hamelin, Germany) at #1 doubles but they fell 8-6.
Caldwell won the other two doubles matches as freshman
Ferdinand Schnitzer (Mossingen, Germany) was part of the #2 doubles 8-5 win. Sophomore
James Bojko (Bayville, N.J.) and freshman
Ulysses Leon Farr (Sparta, N.J.) picked up the win at #3 doubles 8-0.
Farr won at #6 singles 6-4, 6-1, while Caldwell also swept the match at #5 singles. Lemke came up short at #2 singles 1-6, 6-2, 3-6. Schnitzer fell at #3 singles 3-6, 3-6, while Bojko lost at #4 singles 2-6, 3-6.
