OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.- The Caldwell University men's tennis team fell 9-0 to regionally ranked NYIT in a non-conference match. The Bears are #3 in the East Region.
 
The Cougars fall to 3-6 overall, while the Bears improve to 9-3.  
 
In doubles play, senior Maximilian Ziegler (Erfurt, Germany) and freshman Lukas Lemke (Hamelin, Germany) fell in the #1 spot 8-2.
 
In singles play, Ziegler came up short at #1 singles 6-4, 6-3. Lemke dropped his match at #2 singles 6-0, 6-4. Freshman Ferdinand Schnitzer (Mossingen, Germany) lost at #3 singles 6-1, 6-1.
 
Sophomore James Bojko (Bayville, N.J.) fell at #4 singles 6-1, 6-0, while freshman Ulysses Leon Farr (Sparta, N.J.) lost at #6 singles 6-0, 6-0.
 
The Cougars take on Chestnut Hill College in their final conference match of the season on Tuesday, April 11 at 3 pm in Philadelphia, Pa.
