PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University men's tennis team fell 9-0 to regionally ranked Chestnut Hill College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match. The Griffins are #2 in the East Region and are in first place in the CACC.
The Cougars fall to 3-7 overall and finished conference play at 1-4. The Griffins improve to 9-5 overall and lead the CACC with a 3-0 record.
In doubles play, senior
Maximilian Ziegler (Erfurt, Germany) and freshman
Lukas Lemke (Hamelin, Germany) fell in the #2 spot 8-5. Freshman
Ferdinand Schnitzer (Mossingen, Germany) and sophomore
James Bojko (Bayville, N.J.) came up short at #2 doubles 8-0.
Schnitzer fell at #3 singles, 6-1, 6-1, while Bojko lost at #4 singles 6-1, 6-0. Freshman
Ulysses Leon Farr (Sparta, N.J.) lost at #5 singles 6-0, 6-0.
The Cougars conclude their season on Tuesday, April 18 as they host Bloomfield College in a non-conference match at 3:30 pm.
