PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University men's tennis team fell in their spring season opener 9-0 to Philadelphia University.
 
The Cougars open the season at 0-1 and 0-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Rams improve to 3-3 and 1-0 in conference play.
 
Senior Maximilian Ziegler (Erfurt, Germany) came up short at #1 singles 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Lukas Lemke (Hamelin, Germany) fell at #2 singles 7-5, 6-0. Freshman Ferdinand Schnitzer (Mossingen, Germany) lost at #3 singles 6-3, 6-2.
 
In doubles play, Ziegler and Lemke came up short at the #1 spot 8-6.
 
The Cougars are back in action on Tuesday, March 28 as they travel to Millersville University for a non-conference match at 2:30 pm.
