KUTZTOWN, Pa.- Junior
Maximilian Ziegler (Erfurt, Germany) posted wins at #1 singles and #1 doubles to help lead the Caldwell University men's tennis team to a 7-2 win over Kutztown University.
The Cougars improve to 1-1 on the season, while the Bears fall to 0-10.
Ziegler won at the top singles spot 6-4, 6-1, while freshman
Lucas Bottari (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) took home the win at #3 singles 6-3, 6-2. Senior
Andrej Bozovic (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina) won his match at #4 singles 6-1, 6-4, while sophomore
Lucas Andrada (Cordoba, Argentina) posted a win at #5 singles 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore
Pedro Vizcaino (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) rounded out the singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #6 singles.
In doubles play, Ziegler and Bottari teamed up to win at #1 flight 8-6. Andrada and Vizcaino swept #3 doubles 8-0.
The Cougars are back on the court on Thursday, March 23 as they host Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at 3 pm.
