BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Caldwell College men's tennis team downed Bloomfield College, 6-3 in a non-conference dual Tuesday afternoon at Brookdale Park. The Cougars are now 4-5 on the season with the win, while the Deacons drop to 0-8.

Caldwell started the dual by winning at first and second doubles. Sophomore Andrej Bozovic (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina/St. Joseph) and freshman Maximilian Ziegler (Erfurt, Germany) won their match at first doubles, 9-7. Junior Christopher Long (Plainfield, NJ/Trinity Christian) and freshman Hugo Castalan (Rouen, France) were victorious at second doubles, 8-3. In singles play, the Cougars received wins from Castalan, Bozovic, Ziegler and junior Christopher Long (Cliffside Park, NJ/Fort Lee) at the top four singles positions. Ziegler's victory at No. 3 singles is his eighth in a row.

Caldwell plays a non-conference dual at St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday, Apr. 10 in Sparkill, N.Y.
