BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Caldwell College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Concordia College in the season-opening Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual of the 2014 season Tuesday afternoon at the Meyers Tennis Center. The Cougars, who were 2-9 overall and 1-5 in league play last year, start the year 0-1, while the Clippers, ranked sixth nationally, improve to 6-1, 1-0 CACC.
After sweeping the doubles matches, Concordia earned straight-set victories at first, second, third, fifth and sixth singles, and a pro set win at fourth singles.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday, Mar. 20 at home against Bloomfield College, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
