BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. – The Caldwell College men's tennis team dropped a non-conference dual at Pace University, 8-1 Tuesday afternoon in Briarcliff, N.Y. The loss gives the Cougars a 1-4 record on the season, while the Setters improve to 4-7.
Caldwell's lone point came at first doubles, as sophomore Al Navas (Cliffside Park, NJ/Fort Lee) and freshman Christopher Long (Plainfield, NJ/Trinity Christian) defeated Mike Metesen and Khari Linton, 8-5. Long also lost a close match to Metesen at first singles, 1-6, 7-5, 11-6.
The Cougars play a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual at Post University on Sunday, Apr. 1 in Waterbury, Conn.
