CALDWELL DROPS CACC MEN'S TENNIS DUAL TO BLOOMFIELD

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual to Bloomfield College, 8-1 Tuesday afternoon at Brookdale Park. The loss drops the Cougars to 0-11 overall and 0-10 in the conference, while the Deacons improve to 3-7 overall, 3-6 CACC.
Freshman Yuri Urrutia (North Plainfield, NJ/North Plainfield) won his match at No. 5 singles, defeating Michael Beeson 8-2 for Caldwell's only point of the dual. The result marked the the first career victory for Urrutia.
The Cougars and Deacons face off again on Wednesday, Apr. 14, with a CACC dual at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The first matches begin at 4:00 p.m.
