CALDWELL BEATS BLOOMFIELD IN MEN'S TENNIS

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis squad defeated Bloomfield College, 6-3 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The dual began on Tuesday and finished up today with three singles matches that were suspended due to rain on Tuesday. The Cougars are now 2-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

Caldwell won one of three doubles matches, as sophomores Andy Loughnane (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) and Josh Getka (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Reg.) were victorious at second doubles. The Cougars clinched the dual by winning five of six in singles play. Sophomore Anish Kansakar (Kathmandu, Nepal) won his match at No. 2 singles, Getka and Loughnane picked up wins at third and fourth singles, respectively, and seniors Kagiso Rhenoster (Mafikeng, South Africa/Mmbatho) and Chad Bennett (Kingston, Jamaica/Campion) won their matches at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.

The Cougars play at the University of the Sciences on Thursday, Apr. 16, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Penn.
