BLOOMFIELD TOPS CALDWELL IN MEN'S TENNIS, 6-3


BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual to Bloomfield College, 6-3 at Brookdale Park Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Cougars drop to 0-4 on the season, while the Deacons pick up their first victory of the spring.

Caldwell's No. 2 doubles team of sophomores Josh Getka (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Reg.) and Andy Loughnane (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) earned the Cougars' first point of the dual with an 8-6 victory. In singles, senior Mike Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) and sophomore Anish Kansakar (Kathmandu, Nepal) won their matches at second and third singles, respectively. Loughnane, pictured, lost his match at No. 5 singles in a three-set tie-breaker, 4-6, 6-2, 8-6 to Andres DeCastro.

Next up for the Cougars is another CACC dual on Wednesday, Apr. 1 against the University of the Sciences. The dual begins at 3:00 p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
