EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team lost a team dual at East Stroudsburg University, 7-2 Thursday afternoon. Senior Chris Costa (Montville, NJ/DePaul Catholic) had a hand in both of Caldwell's points, as the Cougars dropped to 4-4 on the season with the loss. The Warriors ended their spring season with a 7-7 record.
Costa combined with fellow senior Chris Laciura (Teaneck, NJ/Paramus Catholic) at No. 1 doubles to defeat Jeff Kurz and Kyle Doebler, 8-4. He also defeated Kurz at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1 for the Cougars' other point. Sophomore Mike Ober (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) split the first two sets with Ryan Drozd at No. 6 singles before losing in a tie-breaker.
The Cougars host Post University in a team dual on Saturday, Apr. 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
