GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team lost to Adelphi University, 8-1 in a team dual Monday afternoon at Hempstead Lake State Park. The defeat evens the Cougars' record at 3-3, while the Panthers complete their season with a 5-4 record..

The Cougars' only victory came at No. 6 singles, where sophomore Mike Ober (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) defeated Matt Levy 6-3, 6-4. Junior Jan Marco Jiras (Lima, Peru) lost a close match at No. 5 singles to Pierre Streat, falling in a tie-breaker, 6-1, 1-6, 10-7.

Caldwell is back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 24 for a dual at Post University.
