EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team completed its season with a 5-4 defeat to East Stroudsburg University on Tuesday afternoon. The Cougars finish 2005 with a 2-9 record.
The Cougars' top doubles tandem of sophomores Chris Costa (Montville, NJ/DePaul Catholic) (pictured) and Chris Lacuira (Teaneck, NJ/Paramus Catholic) won at No. 1 doubles over Pat Luchoski and Adam Fisher, 8-5. Freshman Jan Marco Jiras (Lima, Peru/Santa Maria Marianistas) won his fifth singles match of the year in his first competitive tennis season, defeating Dan Schaider in straight sets at No. 5 singles. Caldwell also picked up two points due to walk-overs at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
