Theresa Davison gave the Cougar softball team its first true power hitter. The outfielder currently holds Caldwell’s all-time records for home runs (26), runs batted in (159) and slugging percentage (.680). As a sophomore she belted nine home runs and recorded 53 RBI, both single-season records that stood for 10 years. In her career, Davison earned all-CACC honors four times and was named to the all-Tournament Team three times. She recorded 202 career hits, and was one of just six Cougars to reach 200 hits in a career.

“We had some great players getting on base in front of me, and it was my job to knock them in,” Davison said. "My success was linked to everyone’s superior performances, and I wouldn’t have had the success I did without the help of my teammates.”

Davison is a police officer in Beverly City, N.J. She lives in her hometown of Burlington City with her husband Shawn Matthews.
