NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Five Caldwell University student athletes have been named to the 2026 CACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, the league announced today.
The Cougars honored are:
- Sammy Ahmad (Clifton, N.J.), Sr., D, Criminal Justice, 3.66 GPA
- Joseph Alberti (Nutley, N.J.), Sr., M, Special Education, 3.68 GPA
- Kole Levy (Manahawkin, N.J.), Sr., M, Criminal Justice, 3.59 GPA
- James McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.), Jr. D, Marketing, 3.91 GPA
- Anthony Salzone (Wayne, N.J.), Sr., M, Criminal Justice, 3.60 GPA
All five were also named to the Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team earlier this month.
Alberti and Levy are making their third appearances on the CACC All-Academic Team, while this is the second honor for
Ahmad and McCarthy.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, prior to Spring 2025; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
