NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Caldwell University junior righthander Katie O'Connor (Charlottesville, Va.) has been selected Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) Pitcher of the Week and freshman 1B Emerson Jarrard (Carlsbad, Calif.) was selected CACC Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 12, the league announced today.

O'Connor earned wins in all three starts, all complete game victories, in Caldwell's 6-0 week. She struck out 14 in 19 innings, including seven K's vs. Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. She also allowed no earned runs in CU's win over Mercy on Wednesday.

Jarrard continued her torrid hitting, slashing .626/.650/1.125 (1.775 OPS) with three doubles, a triple, home run and eight RBI. She had four hits and seven RBI in the doubleheader sweep of Goldey-Beacom on Saturday, with 2a double, triple and homer. Jarrard has raised her batting average from .200 to .324 during current her seven-game hitting streak.

The Cougars, who also won two games today after the selections of last week's winners, have won 11 straight, and next visit Bridgeport on Wednesday.
