Anthony Salzone (Wayne, N.J.) and running back
Nasir Tippett (Dunellen, N.J.) have been named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF)'s 2026 Hampshire Honor Society.
The distinction goes to senior college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.
Alberti, a special education major with a 3.66 GPA, was a team captain who is also a three-time CSFL All-Academic performer. He was named to the All-CSFL Second Team, starting all eight games this year and appeared in 26 during his Caldwell career.
Campen, a supply chain management major with a 3.49 GPA, earned CSFL All-Academic honors the past two seasons and is a two-time All-CSFL Honorable Mention performer. He also rushed for a 12-yard touchdown at Molloy. He is also a member of the Caldwell track & field and lacrosse teams.
Gonzalez, a computer science major with a 3.45 GPA, switched to the defensive line from the OL and made a seamless transition, recording 23 tackles, 11 solo, and 2.5 sacks in five games. He is a two-time CSFL All-Academic selection.
Gunn, a communications & media studies major with a 3.35 GPA, also moved to defensive line from the offense, and was effective, making seven stops, five solo, and dropping two QBs for sacks. He's a two-time CSFL All-Academic pick.
Levy, a criminal justice major with a 3.61 GPA, was a standout at linebacker, totalling 31 tackles (16 solo), with a high of six vs. Cornell, and two sacks. For his career, he registered 51 total tackles, six for loss, and three sacks. He also competes for the Caldwell lacrosse team. He also earned CSFL All-Academic honors last year.
Nunez, a criminal justice major with a 3.68 GPA, stepped up into a bigger role in the Cougars defensive backfield in 2025, making seven tackles and nabbing an interception vs. STAC. He also earned CSFL All-Academic honors in 2024.
Salzone, a criminal justice major with a 3.69 GPA, was a steadying influence on the Cougars line, starting all eight games and earning his second straight CSFL All-Academic nod.
Tippett, a nursing major with a 3.38 GPA, battled injuries in 2025, competing in four games and rushing for 49 yards, including 36 vs. Molloy. For his career, he totaled 155 yards on the ground abd caught two passes for 15 yards, as well as performing kick return duties after switching over from defense after his sophomore season. He's a two-time CSFL All-Academic team member.
The Hampshire Honor Society represents an important component in the organization's rich history as an innovator in promoting the scholar-athlete ideal, which began in 1959 with the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards.
