BROOKVILLE, N.Y. -- Three scores of 9.0 or better and a total of 10 higher than 8.0 paced Caldwell Acrobatics & Tumbling at its tri-meet at LIU with Hawai'i Pacific on Friday at Pratt Recreation Center. CU scored 210.190 to 247.205 for HPU and 233.490 for the host Sharks.

The Cougars were paced by the 12-member Compulsory Pyramid with a score of 9.30. The Open Pyramid squad of senior Kaytence Vining (Latham, N.Y.), junior Jahnessa Morales (Hamburg, N.J.), junior Mariana Aiello (Concord, Calif.), sophomore Jackie Vereen (Suffolk, Va.), junior Alexa Bayne (Kingwood Twp., N.J.), sophomore Avery Dunn (Chalfont, Pa.) and sophomore Neriyah Sims (Bayonne, N.J.) posted a 9.10 and the 11-member Compulsory Toss also eclipsed 9.0 with a 9.05 tally.

The best tumbling score was turned in by Vereen, whose 8.15 came in the Aerial event.

The Cougars (1-2) look to regroup vs. Morgan State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Newman Center.
