Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) earned Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced today. Both were critical performers in two Caldwell league victories.
Corbett recorded three steals, three blocks and five rebounds as CU upended Felician on Wednesday, then had four steals, nine rebounds and two blocks in Saturday's win over Georgian Court. The selection marked the third Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season for last year's CACC Defensive Player of the Year.Â
She ranks third in the circuit in steals at 3.0 per contest and the guard is 13th in rebounding and 15th in blocks.
Lewis, who is fourth in the CACC in scoring (16.7 ppg), had 16 points against Felician and 25 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and game-best six assists vs. GCU. She is also eighth in the league in assists (3.1), eighth in steals (2.3) and third in minutes played per game (34.4).
The Cougars visit Dominican on Tuesday in a key CACC matchup in Orangeburg, N.Y., beginning at 5:30 p.m.
