CALDWELL, N.J.-- Caldwell University third-year women's soccer coach Sammy Adjiei today announced the squad's 17-game regular season schedule, opening at Mansfield University on September 4. After a two-game road trip to start the season off, the Cougars return home for their Caldwell Athletic Field opener on Sept.16 vs. Dominican University, which also marks the CACC opener.
The Cougars are also set to play home games against CACC rivals University of Bridgeport (9/24), Chestnut Hill College (9/27), Wilmington University (10/18), Lincoln University (10/22) and Felician University (11/4), for a total of six home rival games on the season.
Adjei's team will also travel to CACC adversaries Goldey-Beacom College (9/20), Georgian Court University (10/4), Jefferson University (10/11), Post University (10/28), and Holy Family University (11/1) in addition to non-league away contests vs. Mansfield University (9/4), Molloy University (9/10) and American International College (10/15).
The top eight teams in the CACC will advance to the CACC Tournament. The #1 through #4 seeds host quarterfinal matches on Nov. 8, with those winners advancing to the semifinals, also at their home site, on Nov. 11, followed by the finals at Post University on Nov. 15. Last season, the Cougars finished 12-5-2, 9-2 in CACC play, good for the no. 2 seed entering the tournament. Caldwell dropped a tough 2-0 decision to No. 1 seed Jefferson in the CACC Championship game.
