NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Five Caldwell Softball student-athletes have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic Team, the league announced today.
The honored Cougars are:
- Brooke Martin (Oakland, Maine) Senior, 3.83 GPA, BiologyÂ
- McKenzie Nazionale (Ontario, Calif.) Sophomore, 3.64 GPA, Criminal JusticeÂ
- Katie O'Connor (Charlottesville, Va.) Sophomore, 3.94 GPA, Health Science
- Ashleigh Tavaska (Jackson, N.J.) Senior, 3.64 GPA, Health Science
- Grace Vondracek (Odessa, N.Y.) Senior, Â 3.62 GPA, Forensic Biology
Martin is a three-time CACC All-Academic recipient, having earned the honor in 2023 and 2024. Tavaska is a two-time winner, also feted in 2024.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, before Spring 2025; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
