Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) "three-peated" as 5K and 10K champion and junior
Jakub Sobura-Durma (Keilce, Poland) took bronze in the 400m hurdles to highlight the Caldwell performance at the CACC Men's Track & Field Championships at Georgian Court University on Friday and Saturday. Nine Cougars earned individual scoring marks as the Cougars placed sixth of the 10 teams competing. The Cougars set numerous personal records (PR) and school records (SR) over the two days.
Datta blitzed both distance fields, taking the 10K by nearly a minute in 33:52.69 on Friday, and the 5K by nearly 30 full seconds (15:22.83) on Saturday. He also won the events in 2023 and 2024. Senior
Alfredo Oidor (Garfield, N.J.) was fourth in the 5K at 16:19.28 and in the 1500m at 4:04.00 (SR).
Sobura-Durma's 400m hurdle time of 54.78 ws good for third place and a SR..
Caldwell's other medals came in the javelin, where the dynamic duo of junior
Andrew Scopel (Green Brook, N.J.) and soph
Logan Howell (Vernon, N.J.) went 1-2. Scopel's gold came with a throw of 53.68m, while Howell produced silver with a PR heave of 46.16m. The throwers also excelled personally, with additional PRs by freshman
Sal Panicucci (Totowa, N.J.) earned PRs in teh hammer (32.32m) and shot put (12.86m). Freshman
Christopher Francois (Bloomfield, N.J.) PRed at the same 12.86m, and junior
Kevin Campen (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) did so at 12.47m.

Jonathan Jones (Monrovia, Liberia/Paulsboro (N.J.) HS) displayed exceptional versatility by scoring in three individual events, including the 100m (7th, 11.17), long jump (7th, 6.50m) and javelin (8th, 38.76m).

Nicholas Montiel (Totowa, N.J.) and Sobura-Durma placed sixth in 3:25.52. Mensah's prelim 51.56 in the 400 was a PR.
