PHILADELPHIA -- The Penn Relays may be the most famous annual track meet in the country, and this year the two Caldwell women's relays came up biggest when the lights shone the brightest, recording a school-record in the 4x100 and season-best time in the 4x400 on Friday at Franklin Field.
The 4x100 foursome of freshman
Angel Cruz-Fletcher (Bloomfield, N.J.), freshman
Sejadea Mincey (Jersey City, N.J.), freshman
Hannah Juleus (Roselle Park, N.J.) and junior
Chennaya Tschopp (Belleville, N.J.) finished in 50.03, good for 15th place in the race that included schools from NCAA Divisions I, II and III.Â
The 4x400 team of senior
KJ Gordon (Latham, N.Y.), soph
Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.), junior
Isabella Pollock (Fair Lawn, N.J.) and senior
Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.) placed 13th, completing the circuit in 4:10.04.
Those two relay times put both groups in position to medal at the CACC's next weekend in Lakewood, N.J.
