Three Women’s Track and Field Student-Athletes Earn CACC All-Academic Honors

Carey, Grau, Rankin-Maize, Among League's Elite Scholars


NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Three Caldwell Women's Track and Field student-athletes have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic Team, the league announced today.

The honored Cougars are:

Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) Sophomore, 3.66 GPA, Business Administration 
Jamie Rankin-Maize (Cayman Islands) Sophomore, 3.68 GPA, Biology 
Shamica Carey (Nassau, Bahamas) Senior, 3.59 GPA, Accounting


Carey also received CACC All-Academic in 2022 and 2023.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, before Spring 2025; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
