MAHWAH, N.J. -- Senior
Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.) and sophomore
Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) finished second and third, respectively, at 800 meters while freshmen
Angel Cruz-Fletcher (Bloomfield, N.J.) and
Morgan Dolaghan (Nutley, N.J.) had CACC-qualifying marks in the long jump and javelin, respectively, to highlight a fine showing for Caldwell women's track and field at the Ramapo Invitational, held on Friday and Saturday at Ramapo College.
McNamee (2:27.92) finished just ahead of Grau (2:28.36) for silver and bronze in the event, with both marks qualifying for the season-ending CACC Championships. Likewise, Cruz-Fletcher's leap of 5.16 meters (fifth place) and Dolaghan's toss of 27.33 meters (eighth) advanced them to the Championships in May.
Other individual top 10 finishes for the Cougars included sixth and sevenths for sophomore
Jer-Breeah Fogg (Hillside, N.J.; 9.88m) and senior
Victoria Pardi (Totowa, N.J.; 9.70m) in the shot put and senior
KJ Gordon (Latham, N.Y.; 7tyh, 1:02.73) and junior
Isabella Pollock (Fair Lawn, N.J.; 8th, 1:02.76) at 400 meters.
Fine performances were also turned in by junior
Chennaya Tschopp (Belleville, N.J.; 100 meters, 12th, 13.35; 200 meters, 17th, 27.63); and soph
Anais Perez-Fabian (Belleville, N.J.; discus, 11th, 28.59m).
The 4x400 relay team of Gordon, Grau, McNamee and Pollock was also highlight, sprinting to a fourth place finish at 4:10.96.
