SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The Open Pyramid team of junior Kaytence Vining (Latham, N.Y.), soph Mariana Aiello (Concord, Calif.), freshman Alexa Bayne (Kingwood Twp., N.J.), freshman Avery Dunn (Chalfont, Pa.), senior Mickennah Lanza (Middletown, N.J.) and freshman Alexa Foster (Marlton, N.J.) scored a 9.15 and the compulsory pyramid unit notched a 9.05 as Caldwell Acrobatics & Tumbling secured its second win in as many meets, 203.675-31.075 over American International College at Henry A. Butova Gymnasium on Thursday evening. 

The Cougars also topped 8.0 or higher in six other events.

The Compulsory Toss squad had the next highest score of 8.8, with Vining, Dunn, freshman Carly Gleason (Ocean City, N.J.), freshman Jackie Vereen (Suffolk, Va.) and soph Zimayah Mosley (Newark, N.J.) on one side and junior Piper Fitzmaurice (Middletown, N.J.), soph Jahnessa Morales (Hamburg, N.J.), Aiello, senior Eliah Cardone (Bristow, Va.) and freshman Neriyah Sims (Bayonne, N.J.) on the other and Lanza calling.

Fitzmaurice had the team's top tumbling score of 8.25 in the 6 Element, while classmate Jill Riggio (East Windsor, N.J.) pulled a 7.95 in the open tumbling heat.

The Cougars make it a double event week with a quick turnaround on Sunday at Stevenson.
