NEW HAVEN, Conn. —Junior guard Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J) has been named CACC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in two Cougars wins last week. 

Lewis had four steals each in wins over Goldey-Beacom and STAC. She also contributed four rebounds vs. GBC and five boards and one block vs STAC. 

She was also an offensive leader for the Cougars, with 24 points against the Lightning and keying Sunday's comeback win at STAC with five straight points to start fourth quarter, sealed with late layup, finishing with 15 points. 

Lewis and the Cougars visit Felician in their next action on Wednesday.
