Aguilar Nets 14, Women’s Basketball Win Streak Snapped at Felician

Lewis’s 10 points, 6 steals, five assists not enough in CACC defeat

RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Junior guard Neysa Aguilar (Middlesex, N.J.) scored a team-best 14 points and junior guard Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) filled the sheet with 10 points, six steals and five assists, but Caldwell saw its five-game win streak snapped in a 60-41 loss at Felician in CACC women's basketball action at Job Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

The Cougars (5-2, 1-1 CACC) trailed, 26-18, at halftime, but after a Golden Falcons basket used an early third quarter 9-0 surge to edge to within 28-27 midway through the quarter. But the hosts closed the frame with an 11-2 run that re-established a comfortable margin.

Junior guard Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) had seven rebounds and five steals for the Cougars.

Felician (4-2, 2-0 CACC) was led by Ane Valle with 20 points.

Caldwell stays in Conference play at Georgian Court on Saturday at noon.
