LAKEWOOD, N.J. Â -- The Cougars high scoring duo of senior guard/forward
Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) and junior point guard
Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) scored 26 and 25 points respectively, unfortunately it was not enough as women's basketball (5-3, 1-2 CACC) fell 86-81 to the Georgian Court  Lions (1-6, 1-1 CACC) at the GCU Wellness Center.
Coogan made a game-high five 3's and Lewis went an incredible 14/15 from the free throw line.
Junior guard
Neysa Aguilar (Middlesex, N.J.) scored 14 points. Junior forward
Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, a team-high 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Caldwell jumped out to an early 10-0 lead but GCU was able to fight back.
The game was a barn-burner that had seven ties and 13 lead changes.Â
CU tried to come back late in the fourth quarter but the Lions had built too big a deficit for the Cougars to overcome.
Caldwell will return to the Newman Center for a four-game homestand starting on Tuesday at 5:30 PM against Dominican.
