CALDWELL, N.J. -- Junior guard
Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) posted team-highs of 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals as five Cougars scored in double figures, as Caldwell used a 26-9 second quarter surge en route to an 82-60 women's basketball triumph over Dominican in a CACC matchup at the Newman Center on Tuesday evening.
With the score tied at 19 after an entertaining first quarter, Caldwell (6-3, 2-2 CACC) took control with a 14-5 surge over the first five minutes of the second for a nine-point lead at 33-24. A late run would extend that advantage to 45-28 by halftime, a 10-0 run to complete the half ignited by two Lewis layups and two baskets by senior forward
Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland).
CU would lead by as many as 18 in the third, then took its biggest lead to date of 73-42 with 5:14 to play in the fourth before finishing off the 22-point victory.

Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) had a season-high 11 points to go with four assists, and junior forward
Harmony Earth-Wiley (Southfield, Mich.) scored 10 points and grabbed five boards for the Cougars.
Tamia Nunes had a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds for Dominican (2-6, 1-2).
The Cougars next host Franklin Pierce on Saturday at 1 p.m.
