NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Senior forward
Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) was named CACC Co-Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 23, the league announced today. Coogan, currently fourth in the CACC in scoring (17.5 ppg) scored a season-high 26 points in a win over Queens on Wednesday and followed up with a 17-point effort vs. Molloy on Saturday, both wins for the 3-1 Cougars.
Coogan totalled 12 rebounds, three blocks, five assists and seven steals in the two contests.
In addition to her scoring prowess, Coogan is 10th in FG% (45.3), second in 3FG/G (2.3), Fourth in 3FG% (42.9), sixth in FT% (81.3), fourth in blocks (1.3). Her 1215 points are 15th most in Caldwell history (eighth in the NCAA era) and her 123 three point field goals place ninth.
She shared the weekly honor with Emily Spratt of Jefferson.
Caldwell opens CACC play Tuesday evening at the Newman Center vs. Goldey-Beacom College at 5:30 p.m. in the annual Play4Kay game.
