WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- Senior
Kyle Kuren (Woodland Park, N.J.) won the hammer with a toss of 46.56m, junior
Andrew Scopel's (Green Brook, N.J.) javelin throw of 51.79 placed second, leading five Cougars in the top 11, and senior
Michael Lehman (Wayne, N.J.) took third in the shot put at 12.80m, pacing the Caldwell men's track team's effort at the Bill Butler Invitational at West Chester University on Saturday.
In addition to Scopel, the other javelin scorers were senior
Micah Chudkowski (Sayreville, N.J.) (43.59, 4th), junior
Joseph Sasso (Nutley, N.J.) (41.80, 6th), freshman
Logan Howell (Vernon, N.J.) (41.32, 8th) and senior
Franco Iacovo (Little Falls, N.J.) (37.15, 11th).
Other strong performers for CU included a sixth place finish for senior
Ervin Chaush (Wallington, N.J.) in the discus (38.88m), eighth for soph
Kevin Campen (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) in the shot put (12.05) and soph
Geraldy Volcy (Irvington, N.J.) in the 400 meters (50.91, 7th).
Kuren, Lehman, Volcy and Chudkowski also qualified for CACC Championships with their marks.
