NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Junior Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) broke his own school record in the 5,000 meters, completing the circuit in a blistering 15:28.94, at the Silfen Elite Distance event at Connecticut College on Friday.

He and the rest of the Cougars will compete today at the Bill Butler Invitational in West Chester, Pa.
