STOCKTON, N.J. -- Caldwell men's track opened the 2024 season at the Stockton Invitational at Stockton University, with nine Cougars posting top-seven finishes.
Freshman
Logan Howell (Vernon, N.J.) turned the trick in two events, placing fifth in the javelin (43.06m) and sixth in the discus (30.05).
Top finishers for the Cougars were third-place slots by junior
Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) in the 3000m run (school-record 8:56.91) and classmate
Andrew Scopel (Green Brook, N.J.) in the javelin (50.91).

Chad Manning (Belleville, N.J. (800m, fourth, 2:01.66); senior
Ervin Chaush (Wallington, N.J.) (discus, fourth, 38.05); freshman
Jalen Hinnant (Edison, N.J.) (long jump, sixth, 5.54m); junior

Xaiden Simmons (100m, seventh, 11.83m); and junior
Joseph Sasso (Nutley, N.J.) (javelin, seventh, 39.24).
