NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Nine Caldwell student-athletes have been selected to the 2023 CACC Women's Track & Field All-Academic Team, the league announced today.

Cougars selected include:
Junior Kalya Baca (Manchester, N.J.), 3.58, Criminal Justice
Sophomore Shamica Carey (Nassau, Bahamas), Accounting, 3.80
Junior Sonia Casiano (Rockaway, N.J.), 3.67, Criminal Justice
Graduate Ana Gonzalez Martin (Toledo, España), 4.00, Business Administration
Sophomore KJ Gordon (Latham, N.Y.) 3.51, Sport Management
Senior Suzanne Hamzah (Guttenberg, N.J.), 3.67, Biology
Junior Gabriela Lopez (Belleville, N.J), 3.77, Health Science
Junior Sabina Neupane (Sindhuli, Nepal ), 3.82, Accounting & Mathematics
Sophomore Jalisa Smith (Newark, N.J.), 3.62, Criminal Justice

The selection is the third for Hamzah and Neupane and the second for Baca, Gonzalez Martin and Lopez.

To qualify, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.
