CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University acrobatics and tumbling team hosted their first-ever meet as they welcomed Augustana University from South Dakota to the friendly confines of the George R. Newman Center. The Vikings emerged victorious with a 256.565-127.825 win in the Cougars inaugural home meet.

In the compulsory events, Caldwell achieved a total of 23.50, garnering an 8.75 in the toss heat. The Cougars moved on to the acro events, finishing with a score of 16.15.

The meet advanced to the pyramid events where Caldwell earned a score of 22.90 for a cumulative total of 62.55 at the first half break. The Vikings led at halftime 89.50-62.55

The second half began with the toss events where the Cougars received a score of 21.60 in the three heats. In the six tumbling events, Caldwell notched an 8.325 in the aerial pass event and finished with a total of 41.175.

Freshman
Arianna Ardilla (Easton, Pa.) earned the top score in the tumbling heats, receiving an 8.325 in the aerial pass.

The Cougars return to action on Saturday, March 18 as they travel to East Stroudsburg University for a dual meet at 1 pm.
