LAKEWOOD, N.J.- Caldwell University women's track and field senior
Ana Gonzalez Martin (Toledo, Spain) set the school record in the 10,000-meter event as the Cougars completed the track events at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship. The field events of the conference championship will be held on Wednesday, May 11 on the Georgian Court campus to complete the conference meet.
Gonzalez Martin took second place in the 10k with a time of 40:58.36. She finished in third place in the 5000-meter event with a time of 19:38.99.
The two relays teams scored points in the conference meet as the 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore
Alexis Byfield (Hawthorne, N.J.), sophomore
Gabriela Lopez (Belleville, N.J.), sophomore
Sabina Neupane (Sindhuli, Nepal) and junior
Deneisha Williams (D'abadie, Trinidad and Tobago) finished in fifth place with a time of 53.02.
The 4x400-meter relay team of freshman
Shamica Carey (Nassau, Bahamas), freshman
Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.), sophomore
Victoria Gwizdz (Sayreville, N.J.) and freshman
KJ Gordon (Latham, N.Y.) came in sixth place with a time of 4:30.35.
The Cougars currently stand in eighth place with 21 points with the field events still to be held.
The 2022 CACC Track and Field Championships concludes on Wednesday, May 11 with the field events starting at 10:30 am. The schedule for Wednesday is below:
