GALLOWAY, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's track and field continued their season as they competed in the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University on Saturday.
Senior
Ana Gonzalez Martin (Toledo, Spain) took third place in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 39:37.89.
Sophomore
Alexis Byfield (Hawthorne, N.J.) placed tenth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.12 Byfield also had two top-10 finishes in the field events, taking third place in the triple jump with a distance of 10.94 meters. She came in seventh place in the high jump with a height of 1.45 meters.
Sophomore
Dagnelly Sarmiento (Weehawken, N.J.) took 11th place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:25.17.
In the 4x100-meter relay, the quarter of Byfield, freshman
Jalisa Smith (Newark, N.J.), sophomore
Sabina Neupane (Sindhuli, Nepal) and junior
Deneisha Williams (D'abadie, Trinidad and Tobago) placed third with a time of 53.72.
In the 4x400-meter relay, sophomore
Gabriela Lopez (Belleville, N.J.), freshman
Shamica Carey (Nassau, Bahamas), freshman
KJ Gordon (Latham, N.Y.) and freshman
Eliana McNamee (Springfield, N.J.) finished in seventh place with a time of 4:29.17.
Freshman
Lexys Caputo (Cedar Grove, N.J.) took 11th place in the long jump with a distance of 4.65 meters.
The Cougars return to action as they compete in the Misericordia University Twilight Invitational on Tuesday, April 12.
