Kevin Albright (Mays Landing, N.J.) scored four goals as the Cougars fell to Georgian Court University 17-8 in a in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game.
The Cougars fall to 2-8 overall and 0-4 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 4-9 and 1-2 in conference play.
Georgian Court jumped out to an early lead with Albright getting the Cougars on the board late in the second quarter. Freshman
Ben Taylor (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) scored in the final seconds of the half as Caldwell trailed 16-2 at halftime.
Caldwell rallied in the third quarter as they scored five straight goals to start the second half. Albright notched three of the goals in the run, while Taylor scored his second of the day and junior
Michael Brown (Glenolden, Pa.) added a goal.
The Lions netted a goal late in the fourth quarter, while sophomore
Jayden Paladino (Hawthorne, N.J.) scored the final goal of the game with under a minute to play.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Shane Murphy (Middletown, N.J.) totaled six saves in just over 37 minutes of play in net. Junior
Nicholas Mele (Albertson, N.Y.) played the final 23 minutes, recording four saves.
The Cougars travel to Felician University for a CACC contest on Wednesday, April 20 at 12 pm.
